Custom heat treatment solutions for industry
In many industrial processes, ovens are required, for example, for polymerizing, drying, preheating, annealing, warm forming, stress relief, stabilizing, tempering, hardening, vulcanizing, baking out, or maintaining warmth. We offer ovens that are either completely customized for your process or from our standard programme, which can be adapted to the specific needs of the process and the conditions on site. Every oven is manufactured to order, ensuring it meets your exact requirements.
The base of every industrial oven is a solid frame made of welded steel profiles. The supporting sandwich walls, consisting of steel sheets and insulation panels with asbestos-free mineral wool, are mounted on this frame.
The maximum temperature is 250°C.
The ovens are produced by our Italian partner Amarc near Monza. Amarc has over 30 years of experience in building convection ovens. Freek has been manufacturing various electric heating elements for 75 years. Through a very close and trusting cooperation, you as a customer benefit from this dual expertise.
Amarc also produces warming cabinets, where materials stored in barrels and containers are heated. For industrial ovens, materials are heated that are "loose" in the oven – for example, on pallets, on trays, or hanging on racks. The biggest difference in construction between warming cabinets and industrial ovens is the air circulation.
Industrial Ovens
Our ovens are characterized by the following features:
- Structural Solidity.
A generously designed carbon steel frame provides a robust and secure base. The sheet metal construction is designed to withstand stresses and unintentional impacts during loading and unloading over a long period. - High Efficiency.
The use of high-quality insulating materials and the constructive avoidance of thermal bridges leads to an energy-efficient oven. This achieves- minimal heat losses,
- efficient heat exchange,
- and thus energy savings.
- High-Quality Materials. The standard design includes:
Outer casing made of painted steel.
Inner casing made of galvanized steel. The design is in a sealed construction with welded plates:- For higher operating temperatures.
- Safety at high pressures inside the chambers and
- in processes with emissions of dense or aggressive vapors.
- Balanced Temperature Management.
Heat transfer is mainly through convection. The air is drawn in over the heating elements and then supplied to the interior of the oven through adjustable outlets. This allows the airflow path to be optimally adjusted to the product to be heated.
The process is controlled by a digital temperature controller. The industrial controller is user-friendly and mounted in an easily accessible control box on the outside of the oven. The PT 100 sensor is mounted where it is optimal for the application. -
We place great emphasis on optimizing the airflow.
The goal is:- The best possible heat distribution,
- Noticeable reduction in heating time.
- Optimal heat transfer to the respective product.
-
The airflow can be arranged as follows:
- Horizontal,
- Vertical,
- Horizontal and vertical mixed.
The airflow is designed based on the geometry of the parts to be heated and the required temperature accuracy.
We can design ovens with tolerances up to +/- 2°C concerning the temperature set in an empty chamber. We conduct tests on all ovens during production to ensure temperature homogeneity in the various areas of the oven. The high-quality measuring devices used in these tests are regularly calibrated.
Options
Different production sites and various heat treatment processes make it necessary to customize the oven to a certain extent. Conveyor Ovens
The range of AMARC solutions is completed by the development and manufacture of continuous or conveyor ovens.
Conveyor ovens offer the highest degree of customization in planning and construction, as they must consider both the process requirements for heat treatment and the transportation of the material to be processed.
The choice of conveyor ovens is made based on efficiency criteria when two conditions are present:
- The oven is integrated into an automatic line within a highly automated production chain.
- Production involves series of parts that are uniform in shape and size, undergoing a repetitive heat treatment process.
The oven design depends on the size of the parts to be treated, their thermal properties, the required cycle times, customer space conditions, and the type of loading and unloading.
From a process engineering perspective, they are suitable for a variety of applications such as: heating, polymerization, annealing, preheating, stabilization, curing, drying, and various other heat treatments.
Options for Conveyor Ovens
- Conveying Concepts: Depending on the size and weight of the material, transport can be done via metal mesh, drive chain, or roller drive.
- Continuous or stepwise feed
- Single or Multi-zone oven with different heat treatment steps. For example: various temperatures, heating with infrared lamps, final cooling...
- Automatic or manual loading and unloading.
- Materials: A wide selection of materials is available, as with all AMARC ovens.
- Special projects
What we need for your inquiry
To provide you with a suitable quote, we’ll clarify the following points together:
- Which product needs to be heated?
- What internal dimensions do you require?
- Do you have a drawing and/or a photo of the parts to be heated?
- How heavy are the parts you want to heat?
- How will you load the industrial oven - with a forklift or with a trolley?
- What maximum temperature do you require?
- Do you need an exhaust extraction system?
- Is a layout plan of the production area available? Ideally including the door swing area.
- Are there any specific constraints at the intended installation location of the oven?
- Are flammable emissions generated during the heating phase? Release of solvents? Smoke development?
- Do you need a special heating program?
- Do you prefer a control system with an electromechanical panel for each individual oven, or a central PLC? If a PLC is desired, should it be a standalone unit, or do you need integration with your distributed control system (DCS)?
- Is the use of Profinet possible or planned on your side?
- When do you need the oven?
