For Freek, EUCOPET signifies controlled growth through cooperation in the field of product and process innovation, a comprehensive range of products (fig. 2) and access to global markets. Due to newly acquired partners in England, Italy, and the USA (fig. 3), and by expanding cooperation to include material purchasing, production and marketing, 15 years after its creation the network has today lost nothing of its appeal and added value for the companies involved.
The transition with EUCOPET was not easy and could only be achieved because the entire staff became wholeheartedly involved with the newly defined corporate objectives of diversification and cooperation. Freek's absolute priorities are therefore still not only employee-oriented work processes, but also numerous modules designed to improve the qualifications and motivation of employees. These measures include regular internal training sessions and creativity-building teamwork, as well as continuous data transparency and a common IT and communication platform.
