Public Holidays 2015 - 05.01.2015

Unfortunately, this year some of Germany's public holidays fall on a weekend, but we will still use every opportunity for bridging days. As usual, there will be no summer shut-down and therefore all departments will be available to you during the summer months and will offer you the usual service. However, as many of our European partners traditionally shut down in August, it is still advisable to plan ahead as early as possible. We are happy to assist you with any questions you might have.

Good Friday, April 3 is a nation-wide public holiday, but not necessarily a European or world-wide holiday. Hence, we would like to point out that we work as normal on Thursday, April 2, but will celebrate Easter from April 3 to 6 and therefore the company will be shut.

Labour Day (May 1) falls on a Friday and offers a welcome extended week-end. Traditionally we will "bridge" the Fridays after Ascension Day (Thursday, May 14) and after Corpus Christi (Thursday, June 4). Germany's national holiday on the 3rd October falls on a Saturday; All Saint's Day (November 1st) on a Sunday and will therefore not impact on our business hours.

The last working day of 2015 is likely to be Tuesday, December 22. At 11 am we will begin with our annual company meeting followed by a joint Christmas lunch. Our company will be closed until January 4, 2016. All other German holidays, such as Epiphany (January 6), Reformation Day (October 31) and Penance Day (November 19) are regional only and are not celebrated in North Rhine-Westphalia.
