Freek: New Hall and a Patent - 21.11.2007

Producer of heating elements continues writing its success story

Additional jobs at the site until end of 2008

Menden. Friedrich Freek's success story in Menden continues. After recording two-digit growth rates in the past three years and reaching a turnover of appr. six million Euros in 2007, the producer and developer of heating elements now enlarges the production facilities. "That is 500 square metres of additional production area, which is urgently required", managing director Wolfgang Kaiser, who runs the company together with his brother Stefan, explains. In March 2008 the second floor on the production hall will be finished. By end of 2008 it is planned to accomodate up to 10 new jobs. The work force will then increase to 60.

This is possible because of the high art of miniaturisation and the Internet: "Our products, e. g. the heating elements for plastic nozzles, have constantly become smaller, at the same time we ourselves have gone on growing with the Internet", Wolfgang Kaiser summarizes. He has just returned from the world's largest plastics fair, the K in Düsseldorf. Freek has shown the most recent heating technologies on a common stand with its European partners of the EUCOPET.

Especially proud are the Mendeners on the freshly patented "ThermoLock" clamp band system. Wolfgang Kaiser: "The resonance in Düsseldorf was tremendous. We expect substantial growth rates also fort this product." The Kaiser-brothers have already often caused a stir because they broke new entrepreneurial grounds, whether in European cooperations or in corporate communication.

Currently, "Lean Implementation" is a big issue. How production of simple standard products can be profitably remain in Germany will be reported at the Sparkasse Menden shortly. - hgm
